Stroller Jump Seat Recall
Posted by admin on Wednesday Mar 23, 2011 Under News
1545 Baby Jogger Jump Seats in the US and 450 in Canada have been recalled due to the fact that the jump seat does not properly lock into place, and thus the seat could disengage from the stroller and allow a child to fall out. There have been four reports so far of this happening, resulting in cuts, bruises, and a broken nose.
The jump seat can be attached to the Baby Jogger City Elite, Baby Jogger City Classic or Baby Jogger Summit strollers. The design of the seat allows a toddler and baby to ride together in the same stroller at the same time. The seats were sold a kid's specialty stores, mass merchandisers and department stores nationwide from 2008-2010. Anyone who purchased the seats are urged to stop using them and to contact the manufacturer of safety straps with installation instructions.
